Chain Station Diagram: Station is where you mount a tooth.

Chain Pitch

The measurement of distance from the center of one chain pin to the center of the next chain pin.

Station

Every link of chain where a tooth is mounted is considered one station.

2-Pitch Spacing

A chain having a tooth every second pitch or pin.

4-Pitch Spacing

A chain having a tooth every fourth pitch or pin.

Rock Bit

A round tooth containing a carbide insert, also known as bullet teeth or conical teeth. They are designed for fracturing the toughest rock conditions.

Rock Bit Pocket

Holders for rotary rock bits.

Master Pin

Also known as connector pin, this piece is used to connect chain ends together.

Shark® Tooth

A straight, forged tooth with a carbide insert used in extremely hard conditions.

XHF Cup Tooth

Also known as clean out teeth or dirt teeth, these provide excellent results in lightly compacted soil.

Step Out Blocks

Also known as spacer block, saddle block or expansion blocks, they are used to widen trench cuts to 12" or wider.

Half Link

Also known as an offset link, a half link is added to reduce the length of a chain when the adjustment is “all the way out”.
